Clinical Supervision

Hi, I’m Kristy Johnstone, PhD. I’m a clinical psychologist and a Board-approved supervisor. I enjoy providing professional supervision to provisional psychologists, registrars and early-career psychologists seeking thoughtful, supportive guidance as they develop their practice.

Within my career I have worked across government, non-for-profit, and private sectors, and have experience working across the lifespan and with a variety of presentations. I have a particular interest in working with mood disorders, children and adolescents, trauma, neurodiversity, attachment, and OCD. I use a reflective, collaborative, and neuro-affirming approach grounded in evidence-based practice. Some of the modalities I work with are CBT, ACT, DBT, schema therapy, and mindfulness.

My aim is to create a safe, respectful space where supervisees can build confidence, clinical skills, and professional identity while delivering ethical, high-quality care to their clients.
